His Glory is Seen in All He Has Made

This is the view from standing on our front porch looking down the hill at our barn. Of all the wondrous beauties of God's creation, sunsets are definitely one of my favorites! To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy - to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

Cousin Birthday Party on the Farm

Connor, the birthday boy Papa and Daddy
The middle girls
Meg was trying to get a picture of Alyssa and me, but we moved... so this is what she ended up photographing instead.
Josh, chillin' out, listening to his music. If you click to view the picture larger, you'll notice that the "ipod" is really a stick of deodorant... and the earbuds aren't connected to anything, they just trail into his pocket. What will he think of next?!
Carrick, our precious little man
He's getting to be quite the goofball these days : )
Grandma Jeannie, Little John, and Mama
I just love it when happy moments like this are captured!

To my dear brothers and sisters in Christ:

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I pray that you all are rejoicing over the presence of His Spirit within your hearts this day.
I must apologize for having neglected our blog for so long. Hopefully I shall be able to post some new pictures within the next day or so. As I am sure you all understand, the routine of daily life (plus all the other things that come with being part of a homeschooling family) often doesn't leave much time for blogging!
The past few days have been absolutely gorgeous here on the Third Day Farm. Spring has been rather undecided about its coming, but I believe it is here at last! The grass is truly green, the trees are beginning to bud, and the lilies have bloomed... that is sufficient evidence for me. : ) I have taken several long walks in the last week, marveling over the beauty of new life at every turn. Indeed, the works of my Lord's hands are wonderful - I know that full well!
I shall not forget about posting the pictures, as I am eager to share a few that were taken on my ramblings through the woods and fields. There are also some nice shots from our family Easter gathering at Jeannie and Papa's house. And (as usual) there are a couple of, well... interesting pictures of my siblings and our cousins. ; )
May you be filled with all joy and peace as you put your trust in the Savior, dear friends. What a mighty God we serve - He alone is worthy to be praised, both now and forevermore!

"Wait for the Lord and keep His way."

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." ~ Jeremiah 29:11-13

All my longings lie open before You, O Lord; my sighing is not hidden from You. I wait for You, O Lord; You will answer, O Lord my God. ~ Psalm 38:9,15

You have made known to me the paths of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence. ~ Acts 2:28

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. ~ 1 Peter 1:6,7

The One Who calls you is faithful and He will do it. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:24

Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides You, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him.
~ Isaiah 64:4

The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your love, O Lord, endures forever - do not abandon the works of Your hands. ~ Psalm 138:8

The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him. ~ Psalm 145:18,19

Above all else guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
~ Proverbs 4:23

Jenny's Birthday!

The sweet 10 year old
Another of Mama's amazing cakes

Rarely does this side of my sister come forth in public... it is usually reserved for the enjoyment of the family!
A smile of satisfaction

Little John's Exercising

"Hey everybody! Wanna see me do some push-ups?"

Such determination, such strength!
Perfect form!

Moments from Over the Last Month

"I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." ~ Psalm 4:8
Bright and early, off to school!
The wise man... ur, um... girl?
For each girl cousin's 8th birthday, Grandma Jeannie gives them a "My Twinn" doll. Next time you see Stephanie, she'll probably want to tell you all about her special present! : )

This is a group of some of the regular little visitors to our backyard. Sorry, I know it isn't very clear; it's rather difficult trying to get decent pictures of them through the window.

Baby Pictures... Up Close and Personal!

I was trying to get some cute pictures of John the other day while we were watching a movie together. He must have thought that the string handle on the camera would be pretty tasty, becuase (as you can see here) he reached up, took hold, and began sucking on it like crazy!
Kind of a greedy little fella, isn't he? He decided that the string and his thumb made a pretty good combination.
Oh, the joys of everyday life with little ones... such a gift from the Father!

This is hilarious...

No, we don't know this adorable baby, but I thought the video was just too funny not to share with you all! Our family sure got a good laugh out of it... we watched it over and over. Hope you enjoy!
