Johnny boy

Hey everyone! So tonight I was in my parent's room and Johnny walks into their bathroom to brush his teeth. He's getting his toothbrush "loaded", as he calls it, and he starts praying. He goes, "God, please let this toothpaste be good. Cause sometimes Daddy buys spicy kinds, and I don't really like them too much." Then he gets all excited and goes, "Woah, baby! This stuff is super delicious! God, you gotta try some!"  =)

It's a Tuesday!

Busy busy round here, as always. The last two evenings have been spent putting up all the Christmas decorations as a family, like always. :) So much fun. Got pictures to put up just as soon as I can slow down a bit more.!
Today is school and such home-things, and then to go try on the new glasses. *utters cry of joy* Just kidding.  But no really, it's not that bad. I don't mind. Plus, I find it's very amusing to try on the most, shall we say, 'interesting pairs' first. I'm sure the eye doctor people get a real kick out of me ever time I'm in the office.

Also, words of advice for the day :

When spitting your tooth paste into the sink, double check that your eyes are closed. It could just jump back into your eyeballs, and well, that could, might just sting like wildfire. Not that that happened to me this morning or anything.....*yeah, it stings.*

 After two of the matinee days, we went over to the Halls for a bunch of fun time in between shows. We had a blast doing everything...really, everything. :) 

 In the shed for pool, ping-pong, Go Fish(I definitely won), and music. Fun fun! :)

 Yup. Home Schoolers play good poker. :)

 Then back to the theatre for another show! Such fun times.

A Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
I am overwhelmed as I begin to count my blessings. Wow. I have to much to be thankful for.
Right now, this minute, as I sit here in my nice, cozy house, sitting in this nice chair, absolutely stuffed to the rim with delicious food, I listen to the sounds ~ songs, laughing, joking, chatting ~ going on in the other rooms. Made by a wonderful family...the best people I know. :) These are happy sounds, and I love being here with these people.
Today I spent the day at my grandparents house, celebrating this day with all my cousins (chuzzies), aunts, uncles, and grandparents. On this beautiful farm that we call home.
So many other blessings tonight in my life, and the biggest and most wonderful of all, I have a personal-relationship with a Savior who loves me and holds my life in His precious hands.

This Thanksgiving, as we count our unnumbered blessings, let us remember those who do not have as much. Join me in prayer today for those suffering from the severe famine in the horn of Africa. (click for information on how to help NOW.) For those suffering from diseases, those in the army, without a home, without food and water. Our God is mighty to save. Our God is mighty to heal.

*phew* After missing two shows (sickie...bleh) between Thursday and Friday afternoon, it was sooo good to be back Friday night!! The show was awesome, and we had the best audience yet!! (go Adalie;P)

Had to miss ACT II due to still being pretty weak and not wanting to faint on stage...but hopefully this afternoon I'll be good for the whole thing! :)

Hello dear friends,
I am here in bed these last two days, trying to get well before Thursday's performance. *sigh* David and I are the last of our family to catch this nasty stomach-thing that's going around. if you haven't  caught it yet, I pray you can steer clear!! it is definitely a bad one. it's run through most of my family already, and it' a very painful stomach-flu. UGH. Prayers would be appreciated!
It's amazing to me how often I 'forget' to be thankful for so many things, such as health. What a blessing it is to be healthy, and when we are sick, to have so many things for our comfort: medicines, doctors, movies and music, beds with pillows, etc...if you think of it and say a little prayer for David and myself, please send up a prayer for those who aren't as priviledged to have the things we are all so spoiled with!

Now I'll let you get back to your Tuesday - hope you have a lovely week and I hope to see you very soon.

Busy busy!

Oh my. What a week. What a month! This run of White Christmas has been absolutely wonderful, but I am about dead on my feet. Actually, I am sitting down. Resting. For the first real time in a while. AHHH. :)
This first weekend of the show (5 in all) went great. Great audiences, great energy, great show. I had a rough time getting through the last two performances with some health stuff, but thankfully God carried me through and I made it. *phew!* Everyone's done a fantastic job and we're all growing very close as a cast. Such a blessing to be part of this. 
But, with as much fun as it's been, I'm ready for a three-day-break before starting shows again Thursday. (get your tickets...I hope to see y'all there!:P)
 This past week was as follows:
*Monday - First Dress Rehearsal
*Tuesday - Dress Rehearsal
*Wednesday - Dress Rehearsal
*Thursday - OPENING NIGHT, cast party afterwards
*Friday - Matinee at 2pm, then a bunch of us went over to the Hall's for games and supper before the next show at 8pm. Lots of fun.
*Saturday - Show at 8pm. Great audience.
*Sunday - Church, then to Panera with several friends, off to the matinee at 2pm, White Christmas photo shoot till 5:30pm, and home for the rest of the evening.

All that said....I am worn out.

I am going to bed. I hope you all had a lovely week! Goodnight now, friends. :)

A Happy Birthday!

I want to take a minute to wish the best dad in all the world a super HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I am so thankful for all Daddy is to our family - the thing I most love about my dad is that no matter how hard a day has been or how crazy things are, he is never too tired or busy to have fun with us kids. My dad is always there with a joke, something to laugh about, answer a question, play a game...it's in those moments that I most see his strength in the Lord, and his love for us. I am so blessed to have a hardworking, loving, crazy-nut, F-U-N-N-Y (with a capitol UNN. hehe) daddy like him. I love you Daddy! Thanks for always being there for us. Happy Birthday. :)

Ozark Actors Theatre will present the family-favorite musical “White Christmas” Nov. 10-20, Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m., with an extra 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Cedar Street Playhouse, 701 North Cedar in Rolla.

Tonight's the last Dress Rehearsal! *phew* How crazy this has been....but so much fun. :) The dress rehearsals have gone really well and I think opening tomorrow will be fantastic. Make sure you have your tickets now!!
