Johny-isms

Yesterday afternoon, the John boy came to me and said, "Hey Meg, can you play bowling with me??"
I said, "Well sure bud, let's go!"

So we went outside and started playing (his version) of "bowling." After a couple minutes he started talking a bit...
John: "Oh Meg, I'm gonna be the "Empire!"
Me: "What does an "empire" do?"
John:  "Meg, that's the guy what goes, 'Stirike 3, you're out!'"

After a bit he decided we should stop bowling and watch a little baseball. So I sat down on the porch steps next to him and we watched and cheered for the invisible game going on before us:) Out of the blue he goes, "Way to go Jacob!! That's the way!"
Me: "Who is Jacob?"
John: "Oh, he's my brother. He just got a home run. He is like, this big!!(and spread his arms out as far as they could go)

So I learned a lot. I mean, all this time I've been bowling wrong, calling him and umpire, and just found out I have a long-lost brother named Jacob.
