Thanksgiving is right around the corner. How does time go so fast? What a wonderful week is coming up---most of us will be busy baking pies and such, and the rest preparing to stuff themselves;) Personally, one of my favorite times of the year.lol But we must remember what we are celebrating, and Who we need to be thankful to. God has blessed so much, in so many ways. I marvel to think how much He gives me everyday...all of which I could never attempt to deserve.
I am so thankful for my amazing Christian family. What a wonderful thing growing up in a Christian home. My dad has a good job, and he works hard to provide for us. My parents love each other more everyday. I have a Bible of my own, and I can read it myself, and can go to church....without fear. I live in a free country, where I can serve my Lord openly. I have friends who encourage me through the rough times, and make me laugh when I need to.
So many more----a list could go on and on.
I found this information on conditions in Zambia, Africa. What an eye-opener. I cannot help but be ashamed at myself for taking so many things for granted. We are so rich in so many ways.

Currently, 86 percent of people throughout Zambia live below the poverty line and 50 percent are unemployed. A lack of proper health care has taken a severe toll on Zambia’s families as well. Malaria remains the biggest killer of children under age five and poses a major health problem for the rest of the population.
In addition, the HIV and AIDS pandemic is widespread, with 1.1 million Zambian people living with the disease. According to UNICEF, some 710,000 boys and girls have been orphaned due to this devastating disease. This factor, coupled with economic challenges and food shortages, has left half of Zambian children suffering from malnutrition.
Five provinces have experienced very heavy rainfalls in the past few years, resulting in the destruction of entire corn crops. In some areas, schools are half empty—children have not consumed enough food to produce the energy necessary to walk to school or concentrate on their lessons.
