God blessed us with perfect weather, no one got injured, and everyone had the time of their life. Enjoy lots of pictures...!
The t-shirts! They're always so cool. Good job, guys.
Nathan's Orange Juice. It's a Hike tradition.
We all met at the Q's around 8am for everybody to grab shirts and directions. Pretty soon we were on our way down the road!
The first few miles are always great--everyone's still very excited and peppy..the enthusiasm slows around the17th mile, but the craziness and fun never ends. :D
Kelsey and John Q2. It was so awesome to have John and Jeanette with us this year!
hittin' the highway.
Poor Jamie got tired within a few minutes and had to be carried the first half.
Gracie Ann.
Me and Clarissa.
The first intersection stop. We did a new thing this year, called the "prayer hike." Every intersection everybody stopped for the whole group to get there, and we said a group prayer for various things. It was very neat and very much a blessing.
Rebecca and her flowers.
We finished the first 8 miles by lunch time and stopped for break at the Q2's. We stayed around for about an hour and a half playing frisbee, soccer, eating an amazing lunch, and hanging around. There was also a water fight, but we'll not go into those details...;)
The amazing Nathan Goff.
Yes, well...
Flippin through pictures..
John's mug shot.
John's Seuss shot. :D
The lovely Jenna, Emma, and Laura.
Yeah...Jeni and me...
haha
Alex and Alyssa ready to start the second stretch of 12 miles!
Back on route!
'Nother stop---John found it very amusing to tease me with anything he could find...he's a crazy guy. ;)
haha...Benjy.
Gabe, Me, Alder, and Tess. Also known as the Ninja/Indian bros.
Kayla and Jantzen at another stop.
This was the intersection when everyone decided we were getting tired. :) We only had five miles left though, so we rested a bit and were back on our way for the last part.
I had tons of fun hiking with Josiah Ymker more this year! We've got about everything in common, so it's great fun talking together about everything from school to bass fishing. :) Makes the hike time pass quicker if you've got an interesting conversation going on.
We stopped at the creek 'bout 2 miles from the Light's house, our final destination. Wow, talk about some relief! ;D
Woah! It's part of Justin's face!
We made it!
We enjoyed a wonderful picnic supper together and played games till it got too dark to see anything. :)
It was awesome having Nathan on the HIKE with us! He's home for a while from college and it was great chatting with him.
It was such a great day. What fun memories. I wish we could do this every month. Now it's time to start planning the canoe trip, right guys?? ;)
All for now, see you soon,
Megan
