Sweet 16th!

Wow..I never thought that day would get here.
Come to think of it, I really didn't ever want it to. I wanted to always be a little farm girl-tom boy, running around in the mud, fishing, laughing till my face hurt, wrestling with my siblings, being silly and enjoying life to the fullest. To me, turning 16 meant you were an official 'big kid'...it was the turning point when you became 'mature and boring'.
But now that I'm here, I am so relieved to find that I am pretty much the same. With growing up comes lots of changes, sure, and I can't help but learn new lessons each and day and continue to grow. Ups and downs of being a teenager, life getting bigger everyday, and the future becoming more and more the present...it can be scary. But oh, I wouldn't trade these 16 years for anything. What a gift. God has used them, molded, and shaped them just right to prepare me for this year, next year, and the years after that. He knows the future. And it won't be too scary, cause He's holding my hand, and He's the One who wrote it. He made me to be 16 years old in 2012, and I can't wait to see what He's gonna do with it.

My precious Mommy made me this 'special chocolate cake' that I can actually eat! :) I was soo happy. I am soo blessed - what a fantastic family I have. They made me feel so special and loved. Well, they always do. I love them so much.
.....And the cake was delicious. :)
Making my wish. :)
On to the new year.

Haha, Zeke - I'll stop being so much older than you as soon as you stop being so much taller than me. ;)
