The Hike 5

I don't really even know where to begin on this post. It was fantastic - by far the most fun hike we've ever done. Picture a group of over 80 people all wearing matching Hike t-shirts, walking down the road for, say, 16.5 miles - then - upon reaching our destination, playing frisbee, volleyball, basketball, and laughing in the dark. It's just what we do. It's a blast.

I've tried before to tell you how much fun I have with the Fine Linen family, but it never works. You have to be there. I can only say, I love these people. I love this family. I love the memories.

These guys were my faithful hiking buddies. Through hail storms, hurricanes, losses of limb - we survived.
They're the best. We had soo much fun together - you have no idea. :-)

Along the way, we stop about every mile or so to regroup, rest a second, and as a group, pray for different prayer topics. Then head off again -
And so we walked, and walked, and walked some more.

Our half-way lunch-stop was at the Brown's house, and for about an hour we all ate, rested up for the next half, and played some games.

It rained, it stopped, we talked, we laughed, we sang, we had minor injuries along the way, and finally, we made it. It was a wonderful 16 miles.
Arriving at the Hickle's house, the end of our hike, we met this thing.
We were pretty ecstatic to meet a real-life alpaca.

We made it. One of the best times ever - I wish I could better describe the absolute fun. I can't wait till next year.

On to the next of our crazy Fine Linen adventures!

I know, isn't Fine Linen so great?! I really wanted to come. But certain predicaments kept me from doing so. Maybe next year. :)
