An update... finally!

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas with your families, and that the joy of remembering our Lord's birth has abounded in your hearts this season. I apologize for neglecting our little blog for so long, and shall try to be more faithful in the future! Our family has kept very busy this month, and some of us (mainly Dad and I) have been dealing with colds lately. We are so thankful that all the little ones have been spared from croup so far this winter; it is always a great blessing to make it past Christmas without having to have made a trip to the emergency room! We had a wonderful Christmas here on the farm, and were once again reminded of how fortunate we are to have all our close family living within walking distance! On December 23rd, all the cousins (plus some special friends) gathered at Uncle Chris and Aunt Rachel's home for an old-fashioned Christmas party. The house was beautifully decorated for the party, and everyone came dressed in their finest attire. We had a lovely time singing carols and playing games... and snacking. :) I have plenty of great pictures from the last month to show you all, but am waiting for them to be made into a disc so that I can load them into our computer. If I may have your patience for just a little longer, I hope to add them all within a few days.
In case anyone is wondering, John is not yelling at me in the picture above! We were playing a funny sort of baby game, which I won't attempt to describe here. One of the cousins happened to look over and take the picture, and I just love how well the moment was captured!
May the Lord fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him this day, my friends.
Saved by Grace,
Ashley
